What is the Porto. Card?
The Porto Card offers free access or discounts of up to 50% at over 150 points of interest, including museums and monuments, exhibition halls, Port wine cellars, Douro River cruises, panoramic bus tours, restaurants, shops, and many more. If selected, it also includes unlimited access to public transportation.
What types of options are available?
There are two types of Porto Card options available:
- Porto Card, which provides access to free museums and discounts.
- Porto Card with unlimited public transportation, which includes access to free museums, discounts, and public transportation.
Where can I use the Porto. Card?
You can use the Porto Card at a wide range of attractions, including museums, monuments, performance halls, exhibitions, other tourist attractions, and public transport within the city. For more details about the partners, please refer to the list above in the Discount Guide.
How much does the Porto. Card cost?
Prices vary depending on the duration and whether you choose the option with or without transportation:

Where can I buy the Porto. Card?
You can purchase the Porto Card online and pick it up at the tourism offices located at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and Porto Cathedral, or buy it in person at those same offices, at the Porto Welcome Center, or at the Trindade Tourism Office.
What is the validity of the Porto. Card?
The Porto Card is valid for 1 day (24 hours), 2 days (48 hours), 3 days (72 hours), and 4 days (96 hours), starting from 7.50€. The card activates the first time you use it.
How to use the Porto. Card with the transport option?
The Porto Card is activated from the date and time marked on the card. Just present the Porto Card to partners to enjoy free entries or discounts. For public transport access, the Andante Tour ticket is activated with the first validation. You must validate the Andante Tour ticket when starting your trip, and whenever you change lines or transport.
Important Tips:
- For the Porto Card for 2 and 4 days, you will receive two transport tickets. We recommend that you save one for your last day, to include the return trip to the airport.
- For the 2-day option with transport, you will receive two tickets for 24 hours. Use one ticket for the first 24 hours and the second ticket for the second day (the next 24 hours). Each ticket is valid for 24 hours from the first validation. Do not validate both tickets on the same day.
- For the 4-day option with transport, you will receive a ticket for 24 hours and a ticket for 72 hours. Use one ticket for the first 72 hours and the second ticket on the last day (the last 24 hours). Each ticket is valid from the first validation (72h+24h). Do not validate both tickets on the same day.
Is the Porto. Card different from the Andante Tour?
Yes. The Andante Tour ticket only provides access to public transport. The Porto. Card includes free access and various discounts on many attractions and, when selected, the Andante Tour Card. This card gives you unlimited access to public transport (STCP buses, metro, and trains to Paredes, Paramos, Vila das Aves, and Lousado).
Does the Porto. Card cover all public transport?
The Porto Card includes unlimited access to the metro, urban trains, and STCP buses within the Porto Metropolitan Area, but does not include the tram or the cable car. Other discounted transportation:

Are there any discounts for children or seniors?
The Porto Card has a single price for all ages. Discounts are available at various attractions but cannot be combined with other offers.
Is the Porto. Card advantageous for groups?
Yes. If you order 20 or more cards, you get a 10% discount. This discount can be obtained by contacting the Official Tourist Information Office of Porto Tourism or via email at info@visitportoandnorth.travel.
Are there other discounts for purchasing the Porto. Card?
Eurorail, Interrail Pass, ACP/ARC, Clube Remax users, and students and faculty members of higher education institutions based in the city of Porto (groups of 5 or more people) can benefit from a discount when purchasing the Porto Card. The discount ranges from 10% to 50%, depending on the entity and the type of Porto Card they wish to acquire.
Additionally, when purchasing 20 or more units, you will automatically receive a 10% discount. Purchases made by tour operators and travel agencies also qualify for a 10% discount when purchasing the Porto Card. To benefit from the discount, you should go to one of the Official Tourism Offices or request it via email at info@visitportoandnorth.travel.
Conditions of Use
- Cards are personal and non-transferable.
- A card´s validity starts from the date written on the back of the card.
- You just need to show your Porto Card at our members to benefit from free tickets and discounts. Transport tickets for 1, 2, 3, and 4 days must be validated in each means of transport and for each journey at the start of the trip. When you change lines or modes of transport, scan your card on the ticket validators in the stations or, for buses, on the ticket validators as you board. Your card can only be used once for each free entrance or discount opportunity. You can use public transport as much as you wish while the card is valid. TRAM NOT INCLUDED.
- On holidays and days off, some partners may be closed, so check before you go. You can make complaints about using your Porto Card by filling out the form at the place you wish to complain about or at the Porto Official Tourism Offices. You must confirm that you have receive instructions on the QR Code (where you access the guide) and card when you buy the Porto Card, under penalty of non-complaint.
- Use the Andante Tour ticket for free and unlimited access to all public transportation during the card´s validity period. The ticket is valid from the first validation (24 hours or 72 hours).
