What this experience offers you
The route passes through some of Porto’s most iconic locations,
revealing how azulejos reflect religion, daily life, culture and the identity
of Portugal. Along the way, you will experience the atmosphere of Porto’s
historic streets, local neighbourhoods and traditional markets through a slower
and more authentic perspective.
Highlights of the experience include the beautiful façade of
Igreja de Santo Ildefonso, the famous tile panels of Estação de São Bento, the
vibrant atmosphere of Mercado do Bolhão and the iconic Capela das Almas.
The experience concludes with a creative workshop at Domus Arte,
where you will have the opportunity to paint your own azulejo and connect
directly with this traditional Portuguese art form, guided by a local artist.
A free lunch break during the experience offers the opportunity to
discover traditional local gastronomy in authentic Porto settings.
